Here is a short report about our recent fly-fishing day at Coltsford Mill in Oxted, Surrey. This is usually a popular event being the first in our PICT fishing calendar.
Coltsford Mill is a really beautiful place when the sun is shining and that's exactly what it did all day. After a quick catch up we soon got down to the important business of fishing.
By lunchtime most had caught one or two, or even three, nice trout and we all had an enjoyable "natter" while we ate our packed lunches in the hut next to one of the pools - coffee provided!
Overall, a good day catching (sorry for the pun) up with old friends and taking home some nice fish. We also raised £70 for the PICT charity, so thanks to everyone for their donations.
We will be meeting up again later in the year (details to come from Andrew). In the meantime, here are a few photos that my guest and I took of the day’s fishing.
